The New Legacy Jazz Band
Now in its seventh year, The New Legacy Jazz Band is dedicated to performing the
energetic tradition of the "Swing" era of Jazz. With the inspiration of Count
Basie, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, George Gershwin, Benny Goodman, and
dozens more, this ensemble has delighted audiences and dancers alike with its
simultaneously retrospective and contemporary interpretations of the great songs.
Legendary Jazz drummer Louie Bellson says of The New Legacy Jazz Band... "they
reflect the honesty and purity of good hard-swinging music. These young
gentlemen of jazz are both preserving and invigorating a great American art".
Standard instrumentation is piano or guitar, bass, drums, saxophone/clarinet, and
female vocalist.

This is a talented husband and wife duo of saxophones/flute/clarinet and guitar.
Their repertoire includes not only classic jazz and swing music, but also light
classical and popular styles. Just The Two Of Us is often used for ceremony and

Peaches O'Dell and her Orchestra
Miss Peaches O'Dell is the Region's only lady swing band leader. Authentic swing
music of the Deco decades of the 1930's and 40's is their specialty. Her dynamic
performances includes costume changes as she fronts a superb 11-piece orchestra.
She will work with you to create a perfect event combining dance music,
