WAYNE has been a successful pianist in the DC area since he moved here from NYC in 1989.

Wayne has performed at the U Street Jazz Club "U-topia" twice a week for 14 years; Thursday with his trio playing Brazilian Jazz, and Sundays most notably with DC jazz legend, the late Pam Bricker.  The Trio revolutionized the Adams Morgan neighborhood in the '90's by bringing their mix of Straight Ahead and Latin Jazz to Cafe Lautrec, turning Tuesday night into the Club's most popular night; this in a town known for it's workaholic, weekend-only club-goers.  Over the years, Wayne has performed copiously at other venues in the area, such as Blues Alley, Tony and Joe's, America, Columbia Station, Green Island, the West End Cafe, the 18th Street Lounge and Chi Cha Lounge.  His recording with Bricker, "Utopia," won the WAMA award for best contemporary Jazz Recording in 2000.
